The following comment is related to BCE-73466

This comment relates to a set of three submissions presented in respect of different parts of London.

In Newham and Tower Hamlets, the submission agrees with the BCE that the two boroughs should be treated together with five seats awarded; but suggests that less there would be less disruption to the existing seat pattern if the new constituency, instead of joining Stratford and Bow as the BCE suggests, were in the south, along the Thames. It points out that a somewhat similar arrangement was in place when the two boroughs previously shared a seat from 1997 to 2010.

Full details, and a map, are supplied.

The other two submissions, one covering northern and western parts of London and the other London south of the Thames, are presented separately.
